I'm the rarest one in this millet family, but don't overlook me.I've been eaten in South India for centuries, quietly nourishing communities that knew my value long before "superfoods" was a word. My fibre content is unmatched among millets - at 12.4g per 100g, I deliver over 30 times more fibre than white rice. That makes me one of the best grains for your gut and one of the most effective for keeping blood sugar steady through the day.

Common Questions

Most millets were sidelined during the Green Revolution, but Browntop was particularly neglected because it grows slowly and doesn't respond well to chemical fertilisers. Only farmers committed to traditional, natural methods grow it - which is why it's rare and precious.
